ABC Sestri Levante
The ABC school was established in Florence in 1982 by a group of experts in teaching who decided to dedicate themselves to Italian language and culture for foreigners.
The great experience gained over the last almost 40 years means that we can provide interesting study programs to students on both the language and the interesting cultural aspects which are linked to it: from literature to cooking, history to traditions, music to current events.
To guarantee that students learn intensively and that teachers can attentively follow the progress of each of the students, classes have a maximum of 6 students.
Sestri Levante is a colourful village situated on a cliff which divides the sea into two fascinating bays of fine sand: the Bay of Silence and the Bays of Fairy Tales so called after Hans Christian Andersen who lived here in 1833. The school is In the enchanting Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence), one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy. Sestri Levante offers many opportunities, including: nature trails with breathtaking views on the sea; sailing classes; diving centres as well as excursions to Cinque Terre, Portofino, Portovenere, Genoa, Santa Margherita Ligure and others. Sestri Levante can be easily reached by car, by train or by plane. Genoa and Pisa are the closest airports.
Courses can last from one week to one year.
• The school is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public Holidays: Easter Monday, (April 13), April 25 (Saturday) May 1, June 2, August 15 (Saturday), November 1 (Sunday), and from the 9th of November 2020 till the 15th of March 2021.
• Lessons are held from Monday to Friday (on Saturdays there are visits or excursions).
