Germany, Schmallenberg
Humboldt Institut Schmallenberg
Schmallenberg is a typical town of the Sauerland region, which is known as the “land of a thousand mountains.” Anybody who has visited there will understand how the region has earned its reputation as one of Germany’s most popular recreation areas. The historic city center of this picturesque spa town enchants visitors with half-timbered houses and narrow alleys.
Our students are guests at the Bad Fredeburg Academy, which is located in a district of Schmallenberg. The very picturesque center of this little town is only a few minutes’ walk from the school. Classes take place in the local school, only 150m away from the academy. The academy is located in a very quiet area surrounded by parks. Students can soak up the peaceful atmosphere of the grounds and the town. Schmallenberg is especially popular for its flexible system of courses, with weekly arrival and departure.
